The reigning Big East Champion, UC Bearcats, begin their football season tonight at Rutgers. I of course have high hopes for the season and the game. But people like Brian Bennett, the ESPN.com Big East blogger (who I actually really like) have picked Rutgers to win, 24 – 21. It is a tough way to start the season but I am going to take UC, lead by starting senior quarterback Tony Pike.
By next Monday the Bengals too will have also kicked off their season with a home game vs. the Denver Broncos. With the off field issues and new quarterback in Denver, I think the Bengals should win . . . provided Carson Palmer plays.
