Summer Church Festivals
A multi-part series highlighting the many festivals in Cincinnati in May.
A comment on our first post prompted this post on summer church (or church-related) festivals.
The place to get the whole scoop on Catholic festivals is the online Catholic Telegraph Festival Guide. There is nothing like some beer, bingo, poker, and those instant pull-tab games in the summertime. The first Catholic festivals in the area are St. Catherine of Siena at Harvest Home Park (Cheviot) and Our Lady of Victory (Delhi) May 15 – 17.
Other festivals, but certainly not limited to, include:
St. Anthony of Padua Lebanese Festival (Walnut Hills): June 6
St. Rita School for the Deaf Festival (Evendale): July 10 – 12
Catholic Kolping Society German Festival (Springfield Township): July 17 – 19
St. Xavier Downtown Dash and Block Party (Downtown): August 7
Not a traditional Catholic festival but there is beer, music and a 5K race.
Again, check the Catholic Telegraph for the handy Festival Guide.
In addition, there is the always popular PANEGYRI Greek Festival, June 26 – 28 at Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Finneytown.
