Cin-extreme Skate Park?

I think an urban skate park would be a good use of the land under the overpasses of Fort Washington Way between 3rd Street & Pete Rose Way along Broadway. As it stands no one can argue it is anything except an eyesore. It is under-used and under-developed and I can think of no better use than a hardscaped park. I think Cincinnati could use something like that and it is not like anything will grow under there or anything could be developed there other than parking. I always thought Louisville’s Extreme Park looks nice as you are coming out of downtown Louisville. Our park would not get very much sun but what a cool urban setting it would be. It could even enhance the existing and future attractions along the river including what will be the new Central Riverfront Park.

Every time I pass by this area I think exactly the same thing. It'd be a great place for a skatepark.

That is an awesome idea. I see guys all the time at that little skate park on 5th across from the convention center but it doesn't look big enough. A big park would be a draw I think.

I think that the skate park is an excellent idea, there isnt alot of areas that could be converted and used for that and it would certainly improve the image of city (both literally and metaphoricly). The one thing I think that the city really needs to develop though is a downtown dog park, i live downtown with a dog and know quite a few people would would really enjoy having a green space like that but as it stands we are currently lacking one and can only take our pets to fountain square at certain times. Great idea on the skate park though!
