2009 Cincinnati March(itecture) Madness

Union Terminal Wins!

Union Terminal wins in a blow out in the 2nd Annual Cincinnati March(itecture) Madness.

In 2008, the match between Union Terminal and Music Hall went in to overtime with the match-up tied at the end of regulation. This year, it was never close. Union Terminal led nearly from the beginning. The final score of 87 - 16 ended an incredible run for the No. 1 seed. In the end it was a fun ride to get to this point, but Roebling Bridge was clearly outmatched by "The U".

Cincinnati March(itecture) Madness is expected back in 2010 so we will see if Union Terminal can defend the title.

I will have to agree. Cincinnati has a plethora of devise architecture marvels. The Suspension Bridge (SB) was the longest (in length/span) suspension bridge when it was built and was designed by, if I am not mistaken, the same person that designed that Red bridge to the west. I am proud to live in Cincinnati and I just hope that there are more like my wife and I that want to keeping living here and fights to protect it. There is a lot of crime and unprotected neighborhoods (especially around or children, UC/Clifton in particular as well as others). I just wish that the politicians and law enforcement paid more attention and actually did something about it.

So, instead of just GO UT or GO SB! How about we all try to cheers, GO Cincinnati, a little more and get this place cleaned up ( I don’t just mean that trash that is on the ground)!
