My recommendations for something to do this Valentine’s Day weekend
Friday and Saturday the Symphony presents "Hopeless Romantics" including the music of Berlioz. I am thoroughly impressed by the recent news that the CSO tightened its budget, including sweeping pay cuts by the musicians. Bravo to all! In light of that, I have tickets for this weekend and for the Beethoven concert in March. I am going to try and up my commitment to the Symphony and urge all to do the same. The concert begins at 8:00 PM at Music Hall.
Spring hopefully is around the corner so check out the early spring floral show at Krohn Conservatory. On Saturday they will have a wine tasting from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Check the website for details. Show continues until mid-March. In a related note, I noticed the City of Cincinnati Parks Department has a new website: www.cincinnatiparks.com.
"Surrealism and Beyond" from the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, opens on February 15 at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Continuing through May 17, this is definitely a show I think that should not be missed. I might not make it there this weekend but you can bet your Dali I’ll be there soon.

If anybody had a better date Saturday that did not include the CSO, champagne, and Myra's (for mulled wine and cake) afterwards, I would like to know about it!
