On my way home from Books by the Banks I took this photo of the Amelia Valerio Weinberg Memorial Fountain (1990) by Michael Fresca in front of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library. I thought it fitting. Oh, and I finally joined the Mercantile Library. Long overdue . . . Pun intended.

I hope you got the $10 discount on your Mercantile membership and that you applied that $10 to the purchase of a worthy book at the fair. Worthy books abounded.
I picked up two books - Jarhead and a book on Ohioians (including Lucy Hayes!)
