Weekend Warm-Up: September 5 – 7

My recommendations for something to do this weekend.

This weekend I think it is all about Fountain Square.

First, it is Reds Hot Weekend all weekend. And it is the last Reds Hot Weekend for the year. So head to the Square for all the activities and maybe go to the game after (or before!) at Great American. The Cubs are in town which is always fun, win or lose, and downtown is going to be packed.
Second, not only is it Reds Hot Weekend, it is the The Guinness Oyster Festival on Friday. Beginning at 4:45 today, Fountain Square "offers up creative oyster dishes, live music all night, and plenty of Guinness." The event lasts until midnight and the live music selections sound pretty good, including 500 Miles to Memphis.

Third, you have the last Saturday Night at the Movies on Fountain Square beginning at 7:30 on Saturday, of course. Rudy kicks off a night of football themed movies.

Then finally on Sunday, catch the Bengals take on the Ravens on the big screen at Fountain Square in the first game of the season. The Bengals are away, so what better place to watch the game? End the weekend too with Smooth Sunday. It too is the last one of the year.
