Cincinnati’s Monday Sports Manager

A round-up of the week’s sporting news

Reds
The Reds went 4 and 2 for the week and actually played today. I think they won. They are making up a game postponed from earlier in the season. Next weekend will be the Red’s last for the season and the next Monday will be the last time the Reds appear regularly in this weekly column.

Bengals
The Bengals I guess fought hard, but lose again in overtime and are now 0 – 3. The offense was much improved but in the end the total effort fell a little short. Of course I benched Palmer on my fantasy team and he ends up with some decent numbers. It was an interesting weekend in the NFL with Indy and the Pats losing and teams like Buffalo and Tennessee leading their divisions.

Bearcats
Bearcats win and claim the "Victory Bell". It was a close game really until a Miami interception that UC defenseman Mike Mickens ran back for a touchdown that extended the lead back to eleven points and the Bearcats then never lost momentum. I'm heading to Akron this weekend for the game against the Zips!
