Weekend Warm-Up: June 13 – 15

My recommendations for something to do this weekend

Summer swings into gear with a huge weekend.

The Reds begin a three game series again the Boston Red Sox on Friday. This is the third Reds Hot Weekend too with activities on Fountain Square all three days.

Cincinnati's Gay Pride is this weekend, centered around Northside. The Pride Alive festival at Hoffner Park starts at 4:oo PM on Saturday evening. And the Pride Parade kicks off at 1:00 PM Sunday from Burnet Woods in Clifton and marches down Ludlow to Hoffner Park on Hamilton Ave. The festival then continues until 7:00 PM. By the way, the theme "Celberating our Diversity" is the lamest, most generic theme I've ever heard. How many people did it take to come up with that?

Sunday then is also Father's Day. My father has passed away so I'll be spending the day driving a float for Gay Pride. I bet my father would have loved that.

LOL. There is a joke that if you let a committee chose the color of something, the answer is always "beige". That's how I feel about the theme.

The line dancer's float.
