Building Books: The Art of David Macaulay
June 14 - Sept. 7, 2008
View the original drawings, paintings and studies of best-selling author and illustrator David Macaulay, Caldecott Medal-winning artist and 2006 MacArthur Foundation Fellow. Recognized for his interpretations of the way things work, from simple gadgets to complex buildings, his art brings together the worlds of art, history, science and fantasy. On view at the Cincinnati Art Museum and Fitton Center for Creative Arts, this exhibition is organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum.
This opens tomorrow at the Cincinnati Art Museum and I caught the show at the National Building Museum. Definately worth seeing. (Thanks CityKin for reminding me about this.)
