The entire weekend was a whirlwind of activity but Friday Night at the Fights at the Cincinnati Athletic Club was a darn good time. It probably wasn’t as fun for the boxers, especially if they got beat, but if you were a spectator I thought it was pretty entertaining. One dollar slices of pizza and three dollar beers also tend to help.
The Enquirer had a good article on Friday talking about the event.
And then yesterday I ran across this blog entry from Mark Bower from the 2006 event which was the last time the CAC hosted Friday Night at the Fights. I think it is a great representation of the event. I would only add that after the fights, people continued to mingle and drink and talk and drink. But he is dead on about pretty much everything else . . . even two years removed.
