Weekend Warm-Up: April 3 – 5

My recommendations for something to do this weekend

The big event this weekend is Fountain Square’s Fountain Day. Here is a quick run-down of the timeline of the events for Saturday:
6:00 pm – Bob Herzog welcomes crowd with a “Dance Party Saturday”
6:15 pm – Live Music: 500 Miles to Memphis
7:00 pm – Live Music: Eclipse
8:00 pm – Remarks by John Ryan of Raymond James
8:05 pm – Remarks by Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory
8:10 pm – Water flows, Fireworks start

Now the weather is not supposed to be great so if you want to head indoors, I suggest some theatre.

Bent
at New Stage Collective and Mauritius at the Ensemble Theatre both end this weekend. Both have been pretty well reviewed.

The Foreigner at Playhouse in the Park continues until April 10. CityBeat’s review in general was good but my friends raved about it. The writer, Larry Shue, wrote a play called The Nerd that I saw done years ago by Fairfield High School and I remember thinking it was very smart and funny.

Well, check links in the side bar and have fun.
