My recommendations for something to do this weekend
"Dying City" opened last night at New Stage Collective. "When an Iraq war widow is unexpectedly visited by her dead husband’s twin brother, the two are forced to explore the repercussions of their loss, confront the secrets of the past, and admit the truth about the tragic legacy that connects them." "Dying City" runs today through January 25. See website for details.
Friday is the Opening Reception for "The Painters" exhibit at The Carnegie. I am actually venturing across the river for it. It is only $8 and goes from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra presents "A Very Good Year" with Paavo Jarvi, conductor, and Stewart Goodyear, piano, both Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM.
And on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM, the Contemporary Arts Center’s Director/Chief Curator Raphaela Platow leads a tour and discussion of the show Discarded Spider by Carlos Amorales which consists of giant-sized spiders and a spooky sound-video installation in addition to collages.
Oh, and the "China Design Now" exhibit at the Art Museum ends on Sunday.

Cool, I'll see you tonight at The Carnegie.
I'll see you there! My friend and I are going to get there maybe 6:45.
