Cincinnati’s Monday Sports Manager

A round-up of the week’s sporting news

Bengals
The Bengals enjoyed a bye week after their first win of the season. I did however want to show a clip of Chad kissing Marvin Lewis after a touchdown during that game. I’ve decided not use Chad’s last name, whatever it may be. So it is just "Chad" much like Cher.

Bearcats
The big local sports news though was the Bearcat’s win over West Virginia in overtime. Many are calling it one of the most important wins in the history of the program. While the win propelled UC to being ranked for the first time this year at 22nd, three important Big East games remain. The Bearcats cannot afford to overlook Louisville this Friday followed by home games against Pitt and Syracuse. All are must wins to secure a BCS bowl. And the.

And speaking of bowls, UC announced the release of Bearcat Bowl Central, a website to inform every one of the details to all the Big East bowl options. Checking ESPN.com, Bruce Feldman predicted a bid to the FedEx Orange Bowl, meaning UC obviously wins the Big East. Mark Schlabach predicted a bid to the Meineke Care Car Bowl with Pitt winning the Big East and going to the BCS game.
