Cincinnati’s Monday Sports Manager

A round-up of the week’s sporting news.

Reds
The Reds go 1 – 6 from Monday to Sunday. They lost six straight including a sweep by the Astros and the only win came on Monday versus the Brewers. The Reds were outscored 24 – 49 during the week, ending with the most lopsided loss, 14 – 3, coming yesterday. Then today, the Reds trade Dunn to Arizona for a minor leaguer and two guys to be determined.

Bengals
First preseason game is tonight at Green Bay at 8:00. Calm has come to the Bay at least temporarily with Farve traded to the Jets and Aaron Rodgers set to be the starting quarterback. It will get stormy again if Rodgers doesn’t do well and Farve does. Ok, that is the end of Farve talk ... I’m sick of it.

Bearcats
Tickets are in the mail to Season Ticket holders! They should come this week.

See the side column for links.

Hey the Reds didn't lose Monday!
And the Bengals won.
Got sick of Farve talk about 5 minutes, although it lasted for another 3 hours and 55 minutes.
