Locust Street & Stanton Ave.

Walnut Hills

So I really like the two churches at the intersection of William Howard Taft Road and Stanton Avenue in Walnut Hills. Historically, Taft Rd. did not exist and this section was Locust Street.

I do not know too much about them at this point but I'm looking in to it.

On the southeast corner is the current Calvary Baptist Church. Originally the Evangelical Lutheran Church, it was completed in 1890 and according to Betty Ann Smiddy, it was designed by Samual Hannaford.

Then on the northwest corner is the other church . . who's name I do not know. But I still like it. It intrigues me.

I really need to make a trip to the Historical Society I guess.
