My recommendations for something to do this weekend
I took last weekend off. See my "Post Pride Depression" post.
Anyway, this weekend is a busy one with a ton of things happening.
Friday is the last Friday of the month and that means Final Friday . . .
Park+ Vine is opening what sounds like a cool exhibit "1700 Vine Street: Visions of a Sustainable Over-the-Rhine". It is a "collection of drawings, photographs and models that shows how historic buildings in Over-the-Rhine could benefit from a rehabilitation project that incorporates green construction".
Paddlefest also kicks off on Friday with a festival at Coney Island however the actual Paddlefest down the Ohio River is on Saturday. If you haven’t reserved your particular craft, I think you are out of luck. Check the Ohio River Way website for detail. I have never done this yet but it sounds like one of the Cincinnati things that everyone should do at least once.
It is also Summer Festival season and there are a few this weekend around town including the Panegyri Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 7000 Winton Road and the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Festival in Kenwood. (I think we need a list of the best Catholic festivals in town.) WestFest is also happening in downtown Cheviot on Saturday and Sunday.
For the theatre crowd, "Jerry Springer: The Opera" opens at the New Stage Collective. It is so cool, they are even get protesters! Cincinnati Blog is right that one can't even buy that kind of publicity.

You just can't. I was so thrilled to run into those protesters today. In OTR, one can never be bored.
