In the first Queen City Survey (QCS) poll, twenty-eight people responded to the above question. The topic was generated from the Survey Says . . . post on Tuesday, January 8.
Garfield Place & Elm Street finished first with 28% of the vote (8 total votes). Ranking by QCS was #4.
4th & Walnut Streets was tied for third with 17% of the vote (5 total votes). Ranking by QCS was #1.
4th & Vine Streets was tied for third with 17% of the vote (5 total votes). Ranking by QCS was #6.
7th & Race Streets was fourth with 14% of the vote (4 total votes). Ranking by QCS was #3.
Other was fifth with 10% of the vote (3 total votes).
8th & Broadway Streets was sixth with 7% of the vote (2 total votes). Ranking by QCS for 8th & Broadway Streets was #5.
8th & Plum Streets finished seventh with 3% of the vote (1 total vote). Ranking by QCS was #2.
A few things I found interesting about the results:
1. I was shocked (shocked I tell you) to see 8th & Plum Streets finish last. I thought and still think the quality of the three buildings makes it a great ‘corner’. I was not surprised to see Garfield Place & Elm Street finish so high. The park really does make it a great spot. I just thought the newer buildings would knock it own a few spots.
2. I asked that if you chose ‘Other’ to let us know what your favorite other corner was. But no one did. So we are left to wonder what those three people voted for!

8th and Plum dead last is indeed a shocker. That one's in my top three.
