Lady-in-Waiting: Columbus

COSI

I was in Columbus today to help set up for the 2008 Future City Competition - Ohio Region. It is being held at COSI, the Center of Science and Industry. The current facility was completed in 1999 and was designed by Arata Isozaki. In a great adaptive reuse, the project included an addition and renovation to Columbus Central High School. The main entrance faces west and is through the new addition . . .

. . . but I find I like the elevation of the old high school that faces east across the river better.

Note: I've decided Columbus and Cleveland are the Queen's ladies-in-waiting, noble women of lower rank. I'm kidding . . . sort of. :)
