Eden Park Lower Reservoir: Then and Now

Then . . .
Now . . .

The first reservoir in Eden Park was completed in 1872. The second reservoir was completed in 1878 and was called the Lower Reservoir. A carriageway named for David Baker Pass, President, Board of Public Works ran along the south wall of the reservoir. The lower reservoir was demolished in 1962.

That reservior looked really cool! Why did they demolish it in 1962?

The Upper Reservoir was rebuilt and now is under Mirrow Lake. I assume they just didn't need it in that particular location and the new one would be sufficient.

That's Mirror Lake, not "Mirrow".
