Weekend Warm-Up: December 7 – 9

My recommendations for something to do this weekend.

There are two holiday themed events on Saturday, December 8, I want to check out. Scheduling conflicts however will probably dictate going to one and not the other.

The Cincinnati May Festival presents Carolfest 2007 on Saturday with performances at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. As the flyer says, it is Cincinnati’s favorite holiday sing-a-long!

The Cincinnati Preservation Association Holiday Home Tour is also on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This year’s tour is of 1840 Madison Road in East Walnut Hills. It was built in 1903 for William Greene, general manager of the Big Four Railroad, and the attributed to architect James Gilmore. The Jacobean Revival home has been restored by the current owners.

In addition there are the holiday events downtown and on Fountain Square all weekend. And, if you are a glutton for punishment, the Bengals are also home this weekend with a game at 1:00 pm on Sunday. The Enquirer had an article yesterday indicating that you can probably find tickets out there . . .
