Presidential Piatt Park

Does it strike anyone else as odd that both Presidents depicted in Piatt Park died within months of being sworn in to office? James Garfield (Statue by Charles Niehaus, 1887) was elected in 1880 and died September 19, 1881 after the assassination attempt on July 2, 1881. William Henry Harrison (Statue by Louis T. Rebisso, 1896) was elected in 1840 and died on April 4, 1841 of pneumonia. In fact they have the two shortest terms in office of all Presidents.

Interesting. I never gave that much thought.
